Project OverviewWe have completed Unit 3 Solar System. At the end of each unit, we complete a research
project. The research topics are randomly assigned. The topics are as follows: § Planets § Moons § Asteroids § Space Missions Students will draw a topic "out of a hat" and have one week to complete research. Class
will be held in the computer lab for one week to give students opportunity to work on research with feedback. Students should work on projects at home in addition to time in class. All work must be submitted online by October 7 at 5pm. No late submissions will be scored and no paper copies will be accepted. Please be advised that students are expected to follow all classroom, computer, and internet rules. Misbehavior and misuse of the computer lab may result in students working on their research on their own time. Projects will still be due online by 5pm on Friday, October 7th. Project GuidelinesComponent 1 (70%) Assigned Topic Research Paper:
Students will research a topic, complete reference pages for at least 2 sources, and type a 3 to 5 paragraph paper (about 1 page). Component 2 (20%) Unit 1 Vocabulary Quiz: Students will take an online 20 question quiz on the vocabulary from chapters 9, 10, and 11. This component must be completed at school during class on Friday. Component 3 (10%) PowerPoint: Students will create a PowerPoint with only 2 slides: one for pictures and one for a reflection paragraph about what he or she learned. | Project Rubric
